Millions of
people around the world living away from major cities, live without clean, safe drinking
water. This is usually due to the lack of electrical power to operate the water
pumping and water purification equipment and is a major problem in
Developing and Third World Countries as well as remote areas of the World. Every
minute in every day all over the World, men, women and children are
getting sick or dying from drinking contaminated or polluted water.
Aqua Sun International was formed to bring cleaner and safer drinking
water to people in areas of the World where water purification and
electrical power are impractical or unattainable. |

Aqua Sun International began designing
and building residential and commercial solar systems in 1973. We have
designed, engineered and installed over 600 active and passive solar systems and
solar homes in the Western United States. In 1986, Aqua Sun entered the water
purification business by designing and installing them into their Solar
Homes Building Program. The concept of combining solar energy and water
purification into a single, completely self-contained water purification
system was developed in 1990.

These
systems push the water through a 5.0 micron Sediment Pre-Filter. This removes large debris
and sediment. The water is then
pushed by a water pump through a 0.5 micron Carbon Block Filter that has the
capabilities of removing Giardia
and Cryptosporidium Cysts, Herbicides, Pesticides, Trihalomethanes (THMs),
certain Volatile Organic Chemicals (VOCs), Chlorine and Chlorine
By-Products, Sediment, Bad Taste, Odors, Color, Smell, and many other
Harmful Chemicals and Contaminants down to a 0.5 micron. The
polished filtered water is then channeled past an Ultraviolet Light
Disinfecting Process that has the ability to kill Bacteria,
Viruses, Typhoid Fever, Coliform, Dysentery, Cholera, Infectious Jaundice,
Hepatitis and Influenza Virus, E-coli, Enteric Fever and many other unwanted microorganisms to a 99.999% purity. |

These turn-key, completely independent from outside electrical power,
Solar / Battery 12-volt Powered Water Purification Systems pull water from most any creeks, rivers, lakes, wells or bore
holes and produce clean and safe drinking water. These Systems do not require
any outside electrical power for operation nor is there a need to add
any chemical additives to the

Aqua
Sun International has been supplying Solar Powered Water Treatment
Systems to disasters world wide since 1997. Systems have been taken
into Poland during the massive flooding supplied by Catholic Relief
Services in 1997. The huge Hurricane Hugo in Central America where
Missionaries and Relief Services took our systems in to help with
the local population in 1998. The 2005 Tsunami in Indonesia
where the UN and UNICEF, the Red Cross, Missionaries and Relief
Services used our many different systems in most locations damaged.
After the Tsunami Rotary International rebuild 30 schools
using our SWP-S3 System to supply drinking water to the kids as well
as containers of water to take back home after each day at school.

Bolivia South America, spring of 2007. Powered by
a gas generator the Outpost produced 700 gallons per hour x 10 hours
= approx. 7000 gallons per day. Aqua Sun International teamed up
with World Vision to bring clean water to the villages during the
flood. |
